Women’s Retreats

"Reconnect, Release, and Rise"

My dear friend, Erin Safe (who runs Mad Fitness in Slade Point), and I envisioned something special and nourishing for the women in our community — a retreat where they could pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves. That vision came to life, cheekily called the Calm the F*ck Down Women’s Retreat, which began in 2023 as day retreats and has since expanded into full weekend events. From there, our offerings also grew to include the deeply moving Carer’s Support, Connection and Development Weekend.

Our passion for health, wellness, and healing has guided every step of these gatherings. Together, our retreats create an atmosphere of warmth, rest, and empowerment that resonates deeply with each participant.

This year, our retreats have become full weekend events, allowing women to drop in even more deeply, rest fully, and leave feeling completely renewed. The timing has been intentional — often following the school holidays, when many women (especially mums and carers) are in need of an escape to unwind and recharge after putting everyone else’s needs first. While mothers and carers have found them particularly supportive, these retreats are for all women craving a chance to focus on their own well-being, away from life’s stresses.

What Our Retreats have Included:

🌿 Healing & Inner Growth

· Women’s Circle Self-Love Workshops – heartfelt sessions for connection, sharing, and prioritising self-love.

· Personal Development Workshops – practical tools for managing stress, setting boundaries, and strengthening self-worth.

· Guided Meditations – soothing practices to support inner child healing, emotional release, and new beginnings.

· Gentle Yoga – calming, restorative yoga focused on emotional release and healing.

🔥 Ceremonies & Spiritual Connection

· Powerful releasing ceremonies to let go of what no longer serves us and welcome renewal.

· Evening Fire Ceremony – gathering around the fire under the stars for ritual, reflection, and connection.

🌸 Rest & Self-Care

· Relaxation Time – space to simply be, with options for mindful colouring, journaling, spiritual reading, meaningful conversation, or quiet rest under the trees.

· Mini Massages & Tarot Readings – optional sessions for deeper relaxation and self-discovery.

· Connection & Support Circles – spaces to share stories, release burdens, and receive encouragement (especially supportive for carers).

🌞 Joy, Nature & Creative Expression

· Guided Nature Walks – grounding walks through the tranquil retreat grounds.

· Creative Expression Activities – art, movement, or writing as ways to process and express emotions.

· Dance Workshops – uplifting sessions to move the body, release tension, and celebrate joy through movement.

· Play & Joy Sessions – lighthearted group games and activities to remind us of the importance of fun.

🥗 Nourishment

· Delicious, wholesome meals – lovingly prepared to support healing, vitality, and comfort throughout the retreat.

· Morning tea, hearty lunches, and dinners shared in community, adding to the sense of care and rejuvenation. We also had Erin teach gut and brain health workshops and had DIY cooking sessions.

At our Carer’s Retreat, the focus was on honouring those who give so much of themselves — providing deep rest, nurturing practices, and space to refill their own cup. As part of our focus on nourishment, Erin put together a beautiful collection of healthy recipes and my wellbeing tips that each participant received a copy of, called the Wholesome Roots book. This was created to support the carer’s beyond the retreat itself, giving them practical, delicious ways to continue caring for their body and mind at home. It’s a lasting reminder that nourishment isn’t just about food — it’s about tending to the whole self with love and intention. 🌿

✨Our most recent Calm the F*ck Down Retreat at Shambhala was truly unforgettable. Surrounded by lush greenery and the serene energy of this sacred space, the women dropped deeply into rest and connection. The weather blessed us with sunshine and clear skies, perfect for our outdoor sessions, free time wanders, creek visits and outdoor guided meditations.

The women enjoyed our joyful dance workshop, where everyone let loose and reconnected with the simple pleasure of movement, where intentions were released into the fire. The weekend was filled with laughter, tears, sisterhood, and soul-nourishing moments that left each woman glowing with renewed energy, clarity, and self-love.

These retreats have been truly transformative, offering women and carers a much-needed sanctuary to reconnect with themselves, rediscover self-worth, and embrace self-love. They provide a space for healing, renewal, and joy.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to share that in 2026 we plan to run four retreats. Dates will be announced once everything is confirmed, and we cannot wait to welcome even more women into these sacred spaces.

If this sounds like what your heart has been calling for, we’d love to hear from you — please contact us to register your interest for our upcoming retreats. 🌸
